FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior experience to attend?
No prior experience is needed. The course is designed for anyone new to working with mobile access towers. You should have a good understanding of written and spoken English as all assessment materials are in English.
What PPE do I need to bring?
For the practical elements of the course you'll need a hard hat, hi-vis vest and safety boots. If you don't have these, let us know before your booking and we can advise on options. We provide all other equipment including the towers used during the practical session.
What happens if I fail the written assessment?
You must achieve 80% or more in the written assessment. If you don't pass first time, we'll discuss your options including a resit on another date. Our instructors are focused on making sure every delegate is well prepared before the assessment.
Can you come and train our team on-site?
Yes — on-site training is available. We can come to your premises with our accredited instructor, provided you have suitable space for both the classroom theory and a practical build area. This is often cost-effective for groups of 4 or more. Contact us for a quote.
How do I claim a CITB grant for this course?
If your organisation pays the CITB levy, you can claim a grant for PASMA training. We can assist you with the paperwork. The claim must typically be submitted within 6 months of the course date. Contact us for more information on the process.
How soon can I book?
We run courses regularly throughout the year. Subject to availability we can often accommodate bookings with a few days' notice, though we recommend booking ahead to secure your preferred date, especially for group bookings. Call us on 0208 665 1181 or use the contact form to check availability.
